"Akumal" can mean three different trip experiences.
Do not assume every hotel, beach club or tour labeled Akumal puts you in the same place. The bay, Half Moon Bay and the wider Akumal corridor each create a different day.
Half Moon Bay
A quieter residential and beach-stay feel. Water conditions matter for casual snorkeling.
Wider Akumal area
Nearby resorts, Yal-Ku, cenotes and attractions may use the Akumal name but still require transportation.
