Clear means little or no visible sargassum in the supporting observation; Some means noticeable but limited; A Lot means heavy accumulation or a materially affected beach; Terrible is reserved for very heavy conditions.
Why one hotel can look different
Hotel cleanup can make one resort frontage look different from the surrounding coast. We track cleanup intelligence separately from the natural sargassum condition so a maintained beachfront is not mistaken for a coast-wide change.
